Tate Modern

It’s interesting being at the Tate modern, I absolutely do not care about 90% of the modern and contemporary art. I find most of it dead and boring and it doesn’t hold my attention. I don’t want to look at these opaque walls.

The ab ex especially don’t hold up, I have no interest in the work. I don’t buy any of the myths surrounding their work regarding pure expression or this paint is paint bulllshit. I want light and space and touch. The only 2 paintings I want to spend time with in all of these rooms are the Bonnard and the Morandi.

It’s very interesting that after 5 months in Nepal all I want is light and space both internally and externally. I’ve changed and what I want from art has changed.
